R&D
In line with the Government of India’s Atmanirbhar Bharat, GEI has embarked on its R&D journey to develop EV Powertrains that are on par with global standards. The company established a full-fledged R&D facility to achieve this objective at Hyderabad.
The high impact R&D efforts paid off in developing GEI’s very own BLDC hub motor for electric two wheelers. The first BLDC motor ever developed by GEI was used in the Quanta – the flagship EV motorcycle from Gravton’s stable.
This motor has already proved its worth by successfully finishing the highly risky and gruelling Kanyakumari to Khardung La (K2K) challenge – a distance of 4000+ km – in a record time of 6.5 days.
